Testimonial from Parents

Dear Mrs Ong,

First and foremost, let us congratulate you and your wonderful team for successfully setting up The Little Tree House and running as smoothly as you guys have. We are truly impressed with how well things are going, and we really have the peace of mind, knowing that Miranda is at a place of useful learning, which not only nurtures her mind, but her character as she grows up.

Looking back on the first week of school, we were very impressed at how quickly Miranda’s anxiety at leaving us turned into eagerness to get to school early. We certainly didn’t expect her to like school so soon, or continue liking it so much.

As parents, we entrust our precious son to teachers at The Little Tree House everyday. I am grateful for the loving care and guidance he receives from his teachers daily. We are blessed with teachers who understand our sons individuality, and teaches and guides him with love, patience and grace.

They help him overcome his areas of weaknesses and encourages him to build up his areas of strengths. It gives us such joy to see our son learning and maturing so much since he started at The Little Tree House. He continues to share with us his activities at school with such passion and excitement. Thank you for the amazing work the teachers are doing at The Little Tree House, especially Teacher Eunice and Teacher Zie who personally teach our son.

We looked at several preschool before finally settling on The Little Tree House. It’s always the first impression that matters. Our four year old son Adhvik just liked it on first sight. We were greeted by friendly faces every step of the way and the tour of the school were completed by a very competent and friendly headmistress. We were sold at that point. Five months later, we are pleased with the progress Adhvik has made. He is already beginning to read and write reasonably well and has picked up good values along the way. The introduction of Mandarin was an added bonus. The location of the school in a mall is both safe and conducive given the hot Malaysian weather, but also allows access to the Jungle Gym during playtime. I think it’s a very comprehensive, well balanced and fun preschool for our son. Most importantly, Adhvik simply enjoys school. He looks forward to going back to school even after the holidays. I don’t think we could have asked for a better place to introduce school to our son.

We have sent Maia to The Little Tree House since September 2015 when she was 3 years old. She was extremely attached, reserved and often shied away from crowds. We felt that it was particularly normal as she grew up with a stay-at-home mom and had little exposure to mingling with other kids her age.

Since attending The Little Tree House, she has surpassed our expectations. She was comfortable and enjoyed the school environment. She had adjusted very well within the very first week. The teachers and staff played a huge role in reaching out to the children to understand their strengths and needs in order to help them get settled in the new environment.

Fast forward 6 months, she still as eager to get to school early, and is especially excited on Sunday nights as she knows there’s school the next day, following the weekend break. She’d even want us to visit the school during term breaks, as if to make sure that the school is still there. We believe that this is due to the good work and care that you and your teachers have carried out on a daily basis.

We use the word “teachers” as Miranda constantly talks about all teachers, but of course special mentions go out to her time in P1, with teacher Eunice and Teacher Zie, as well as her current time in P2, Teacher Esther and Teacher Lydia. That being said, when we asked her to whom would she like to make the present for Teacher’s Day celebration, she mentioned each and every one of her teacher’s name so mommy and daddy had to get more materials for all teachers :)

We all know how fast children pick up new things, but we were very impressed at the lessons she’s learnt in school, and how she applies it in her daily life. The best joys are seeing how independent she is, and how she interacts with her peers.

Being the only child at home, we believe that this was a result from her interactions with the other children at school. She would really take to heart the lessons learnt in school (kindness theme) and even ‘teach’ mommy and daddy on how to be kind to others.

Lastly, we were initially planning on trying out The Little Tree House for only a year, as we live quite far from school.

However, we are very encouraged by what we have seen and have decided for Miranda to stay on as we are very happy to see her so excited about school. As learning is a life long journey, we feel that your school is providing Miranda with the perfect platform to begin this journey, and help her cultivate the joy of learning.

Thank you, and we wish you every success with the school.

Also, the learning programmes are very well planned and executed. The activities are very hands-on for each class ensuring that these kids are engaged, at the same time equipping them with the intended skills such as motor skills, interacting with good manners, multi-language, lavatory skills and sports activities. Maia particularly looks forward to her SmartBoard time and Arts and Crafts. She has sang many songs and brought back many artworks home for our amusement!

We find that the teachers are well educated and are able to relate to the children emotionally in gaining their trust. They are also very communicative, pay close attention and update us consistently on not just our child’s learning progress, but also address concerns for the benefit of our child’s development. Also, the teachers encourage us parents to engage and be involved in activities with our child at home so Maia can share them with her classmates during Show’n’Tell.

As parents, what’s important to us is that Maia enjoys her time at school and wakes up every morning looking forward to go and meet her friends. We have seen her progress improved by leaps and bounds and will continue to have her attend The Little Tree House.

THANK YOU!!!

Abigale was 3½ years old when we first enrolled her to The Little Tree House. 5 months have passed and it has been a joy to see that she is having a great time at The Little Tree House. Each day she fills us up with the happenings of the school, from what she ate, who came late, to who didn’t come to school! Not a dull day goes by without her daily reporting’s and the sheer excitement she shows in her teachers, friends and daily activities. Ever since school started, she has grown to show a better sense of care, responsibility, cooperation, helpfulness and definitely sparked an inquisitive mind in nearly all things around her. From her reaction and feedback, the teachers at TLTH are caring, patient, responsible and know how to make the serious stuff fun for the little ones. From the time she attended school, we’ve found her ability to want to relate to her surroundings and questions nearly everything she sees or wants to know. As a parent, it is challenging and at the same time we look forward to each of these encounters, for this can only be enhanced with a great team of teachers, fun filled daily experiences and a wonderful bunch of her friends at The Little Tree House!

Xin Ying is a highly sensitive child that notices every subtlety, very easily overwhelmed by change and has very intense emotions. I struggled for almost 2 years to look for a school that could fit Xin Ying “emotionally”. My husband and I looked at many schools and when I walked into The Little Tree House (TLTH), I instantly knew it was the best choice by the way I felt when I was there. TLTH is Xin Ying’s third school.

With great teachers and staff, Xin Ying was able to make a smooth transition. I have seen so much growth in her since starting. She feels at ease in school and is developing constantly. I also noticed that she could learn more effectively with the positive classroom environment and emotional support provided by TLTH.

As a result, her self-esteem increases and she is motivated to engage in the learning process. She loves bringing back homework, textbooks from the school to read to me or borrowing books from the school library, and enjoys working on her school projects.

Xin Ying is so happy at TLTH and loves going to school every day. That is the highest praise I can give to the teachers at TLTH. I think the teachers in TLTH are just working miracles. TLTH has truly created a strong foundation for enthusiasm of a child’s education.

The saying, “It takes a village to raise a child”, is so true and I am so grateful to have TLTH to be part of my village! Please continue your good work.
